A New Chapter: My Next Adventure with Barn2 Plugins
I’m excited to announce that I have officially taken on the role of Marketing Coordinator at Barn2 Plugins! 🎉 This new chapter marks a significant milestone in my career, and I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey that has led me here.
Over a year, I explored various roles at different companies, seeking opportunities that aligned with my passion for WordPress and my desire to contribute meaningfully to the community. Each potential role and partnership I considered came with its own challenges, but they also helped clarify my goals and aspirations. I knew I wanted to be part of an organization that not only valued innovation but also supported a community building and collaboration.
This journey reached a turning point when I received an offer of support from Katie Keith, the founder and CEO of Barn2 Plugins. Her belief in my potential and her commitment to fostering talent within the team resonated deeply with me. It was a pivotal moment, and I knew that joining Barn2 would allow me to make a real impact.
I began with a pre-trial project that allowed me to showcase my skills. This initial phase soon transformed into a three-month trial period, which helped me explore the dynamics of the team. Due to my excellent performance and alignment with the team, it was shortened to just two months. During this time, I immersed myself in the work, faced challenges head-on, and learned invaluable lessons that have significantly shaped my professional growth.
My experience at Barn2 has already been rich and rewarding, even as I navigated health challenges during this period. The team has been incredibly understanding and accommodating, always willing to listen and support me in managing my health needs. Their commitment to fostering a supportive work environment and my community work has made all the difference.
In addition to my responsibilities at Barn2, I’ve remained actively involved in the WordPress community. I’ve had the honor of volunteering at do_action Bhopal and WordCamp Nagpur, where I contributed to meaningful projects and connected with other passionate individuals. I’m also gearing up to volunteer at WordCamp Kerala, WordCamp Delhi, and WordCamp Kolhapur next year, further deepening my involvement in the community that has been a cornerstone of my journey.
As I step into my new role as Marketing Coordinator, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities ahead. I am committed to leveraging my skills to help Barn2 continue growing and to enhance our contributions to the WordPress and WooCommerce community. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Katie Keith and my fellow team members for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey. Your faith in me fuels my passion and drives me to excel.
