WordCamp Bhopal 2025 — A Journey That Came Full Circle
On December 20 and 21, I attended WordCamp Bhopal 2025 at Courtyard by Marriott, where more than 250 WordPress enthusiasts, developers, creators, and founders gathered from across India for WordCamp Bhopal 2025.
But this trip wasn’t just about attending another WordPress conference.
This year, WordCamp Bhopal 2025 marks a significant milestone in the community.
For me, it was deeply personal.
Returning for WordCamp Bhopal 2025 felt like a new beginning.
Two years ago, I attended WordCamp Bhopal 2023 because the global WordPress community helped make it possible.
This year, I returned representing the ecosystem I now work in.

And that felt like a full circle moment.
Why WordCamp Bhopal Will Always Be Special to Me
In 2023, I didn’t have the financial ability to attend the event.
Something incredible happened.
Members of the WordPress community stepped in to support me.
People contributed money to help cover:
- the WordCamp ticket
- travel expenses
- accommodation
Not because they knew me personally.
But because that’s what the WordPress community does.
It supports people who want to learn, grow, and contribute.
That moment changed my direction completely.
Since then, I started contributing more seriously to the ecosystem.
Over time, I volunteered at events, helped with contributor activities, supported marketing initiatives, and built relationships across the WordPress ecosystem.
Today, I work as Partnerships & Community Lead at fdmedia, the team behind:
Returning to WordCamp Bhopal 2025 representing that ecosystem was emotional in a way I didn’t expect.
Day 1 — Contributor Day, Foggy Trains & Community Moments
December 20 was Contributor Day.
Unfortunately, public transport was delayed due to heavy winter fog.
By the time I reached Bhopal, it was 12:30 PM, and most of the contributor activities were wrapping up.
Not exactly how I planned to start the event.
But WordCamps have a way of turning unexpected moments into meaningful ones.
Later that afternoon, I joined the Games Evening, where community members gathered to relax, connect, and have fun after Contributor Day.
Those moments matter more than we realize.

I spent time catching up with friends from the community, laughing, playing games, and having long conversations over chai.
We even went together to explore the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum.
And honestly…
Some of the best conversations at WordCamps don’t happen inside conference halls.
They happen:
- during games
- over tea
- while walking through museums
- or while waiting in food lines
That’s where relationships begin.
Day 2 — Sessions, Conversations & New Opportunities
The second day started early.
After registration and breakfast, the conference officially began.
Many valuable connections were made during WordCamp Bhopal 2025.
Two sessions stood out to me.
1. Steal Like a Pro — The Art of Contextual Design
by Akshat Gupta
This session focused on understanding design patterns and adapting them intelligently rather than trying to reinvent everything.
A powerful reminder that creativity often comes from contextual inspiration.

2. AI Won’t Replace You — But Someone Using AI Will
This panel discussion reinforced something many of us are seeing already.

AI isn’t replacing creators.
But creators who learn how to use AI effectively will move much faster.
For marketers, creators, and product builders, adapting workflows is no longer optional.
It’s becoming essential.
The Real Value of WordCamps
The real value of WordCamps rarely happens on stage.
It happens:
- in hallways
- during lunch breaks
- between sessions
- or during coffee conversations
At WordCamp Bhopal, I had meaningful discussions with people across the ecosystem.
Including conversations with, Yashwardhan Rana from GoDaddy, Vultr’s Head of Operations, Gijo Varghese from FlyingPress, Aditya Vikram Singh (RankingBite LLP), Damini Tripathi, Deepak Gupta, Sourabh Matolia, Kripesh Adwani, Sajid Ansari, Team from tools like Pabbly, etc.
These conversations ranged from:
- potential content collaborations
- product integrations
- ecosystem partnerships
- discussions around creators, automation, and affiliate tools
Reflecting on my journey, WordCamp Bhopal 2025 stands out as a highlight.
Many partnerships in the WordPress ecosystem begin with simple conversations.
Not contracts.
Just ideas.
A Small But Proud Moment
One of the most meaningful moments during the event was sharing the stage with my fellow co-organizers and the lead organizer of WordCamp Kolhapur 2026.

Standing there reminded me how far this journey has taken me.
From someone who once needed community support to attend a WordCamp…
to someone now helping organize and contribute to them.
When a Conference Trip Turns Into a Spiritual Journey
After WordCamp Bhopal ended, the trip continued.

From December 22 to 27, I traveled across Central India on a spiritual and cultural journey with my co-travelers, Makarand Mane, Suhas Sutar, and Gandhali, by car; Tata Punch.
Ujjain — Mahakaleshwar Temple
The first stop was Ujjain, home to the sacred Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga.
That evening, I experienced the Mahakal laser show, which narrates the legends of Lord Shiva and the history of the ancient city.
It was powerful.
The atmosphere felt spiritual and grounding.
The next day we visited Karkoteshwar Temple & Kaal Bhairav Temple.
Indore and Maheshwar
Later we stopped in Indore at the famous Chhappan Dukan for dinner before continuing to Maheshwar.

On December 24, we explored:
Rani Ahilyabai Holkar Fort

Baneshwar Temple

Sahastradhara

We also had a beautiful satvik meal overlooking the Narmada River, surrounded by history and calmness.
Maheshwar has a peaceful energy that’s hard to describe.
Ellora Caves and Devgiri Fort (Daulatabad)
From there, we traveled to Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad).
The next two days were spent exploring:
Ellora Caves
Grishneshwar Temple

Devgiri Fort (Daulatabad)
Walking through centuries-old architecture reminds you how small we are compared to history.
What WordPress Really Builds
WordPress is often described as open-source software.
But after years in this ecosystem, I see it differently.
WordPress doesn’t just build software.
It builds people.
It creates communities where:
- strangers support each other
- contributors become friends
- opportunities grow from collaboration
My journey from WordCamp Bhopal 2023 to WordCamp Bhopal 2025 is proof of that.
And I’m grateful for every person who helped along the way.
Until the Next WordCamp
If there’s one thing WordCamps remind me of every time, it’s this:
Growth rarely happens alone.
It happens in communities.
And I’m grateful to be part of this one.
